We the Muslims of Nigeria offer our total condemnation of the reported gunmen terror attack of the Deeperlife Church in Okene, Kogi state, the night of Monday the 6th August. It is reported that between 16 and 19 of our Christian brothers lost their life in that barbaric act of terror committed by unknown, unscrupulous entities.

We mourn the deaths and in deep sorrow, offer our condolence to the living.

There is absolutely no justification for these acts of terror aimed at fomenting sectarian strife and unrest in our Nation.

The Abubakar Shekau terror cult is a menace to Islam, Christianity and all humanity and we promise that InshaAllah, we will together take the fight to them and defeat this evil menace as is our duty as Muslims, Nigerians and human beings. May Allah(S) strengthen us in this battle.

PLEASE DO NOT RELENT, ENSURE LEVELS OF SECURITY AT EVERY GATHERING

We implore on our Churches and Mosques to always have levels of security at their gatherings. We can not be caught sleeping as this beast is awake, desperately looking for every ‘cheap’ opportunity to target us. Please at whatever cost, let us always ensure several levels of security at all gatherings.

We the brotherhood are committed to making the sacrifice to stand at guard and defend Church meetings wherever we can.

We will not be intimidated by their attacks of Mosques and Muslim brothers and leaders due to our commitment to exposing them and preaching against them.

The Quran teaches that it is the good of humanity that have always defended gatherings where the Creator is remembered.

Qur’an 22:40… And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

We encourage meetings between our religious leaders, as recently happened in Jos, and cooperation to protect life.

The Noble Quran says what means:

Quran 5:32 ..whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all mankind; and whoever saves a person, it is as if he has saved all mankind.
